I actually love it. I’m a prestige beauty advisor and love all the brands. If you love what you do, it’s fun! I have a regular full time job so based on availability I still get 13-15 hours a week. And 25 or more during the holiday season.

Pretty equal; one of the things I love about my managers is their understanding of the struggles of being a working mother, so they always reiterate that family comes first.
What do people at Ulta Beauty think about the CEO? What do they do well and what can they improve?
We are impressed by her. We can improve on loyalty sign ups. We are good at greeting every guest and driving credit conversions.
What needs to change to make the company culture better at Ulta Beauty?
I wanted to make friends, that's why I applied for this job, but I feel worse about myself now, plus I get the worst shifts/too few shifts.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better at Ulta Beauty?
The girls are very clique-y. I'm an outcast. They don't take any time to talk to me about my life, but they'll talk to others about theirs.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation at Ulta Beauty?
I get the same amount working a stocking shift that requires tons of work as working a shift as a cashier, which takes less work. Unfair.
What does the leadership team at Ulta Beauty need to get better at?
Making a more fair schedule. A person hired after me gets 26 hrs a week when I get 4 and probably do a better job.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved at Ulta Beauty?
I feel like an outcast, I get the worst shift every week, plus more often than not, it's my only shift, and it doesn't feel fair.
