My supervisor is amazing and always looking to help. My manager takes Thursdays to work from home and is never on the unit to help
The only leaders I have positive things to say about are my direct unit managers. They truly care and do all theyre "allowed" to do to help.
Leadership seem to genuinely care.
Try to be supportive daily
They seem to really care
Reward your longevity people! The pay in iowa for nurses is horrible so no new grads want to work here

communication, employee appreciation, morals, fairness. discrimination against older workers
Review from Customer Support Dept
Communication with employees on new processes or keeping employees in the loop when there will be a big change to their department needs work. The training of new employees could also be better, there should be a designated trainer, not just having semi-new employees training the new employees.
Leadership is lazy and inept.
Staffing, resources in the area, updating technology, better skills and training for employees.
I have no compensation and occasional bonuses that are pretty insignificant
A generous personal time off earnings

Extra 2% 401k contribution in addition to 50% match up to 6%
The best parts are that the employer matches what you put into your 401(k) up to a certain point and that the eye and dental insurance premiums are not too bad.
Being able to choose which kind of insurances you want.

I have worked for uph for 9 years and am paid $1.60 more than the brand new grads straight out of school.
Collaboration with people who are actually working with patients, respectful conversations, no more gaslighing. Better and consistent compensation. Free mental health. Allowing unit leaders autonomy to run their units. Safe nurse to patient ratios.
Some staff have gotten large raises recently while others working equally as hard have not.
Pay is not reflective of work done in keadership and not competitive with other local hospitals
Took a pay cut when moved to the clinic from home care, clinics have different pay scale, much lower. After over 30 years with Finley should not have had to get a pay cut!

My coworkers who make it bearable.
We work together to provide the best quality care we can with what we have. We should stop lying to ptoents and honestly tell them how dire staffing is. We dont do that though, we dont want to add further stress on them.
Teamwork is mostly positive some people dont help much but for the most part everyome is willing to help
We are amazing teammates and work well together
Great staff, fun to work with and patient care, love for what you do, keeps you coming back. But better compensation would be nice!
Review from Operations Dept
some of the coworkers need to do their job. Some of them need to care more about the patients and not avoid ones they do not like.
Review from Customer Support Dept
Co-workers need to learn that they are there to work and that it is not a social club. Second shift really needs to learn this as they are the most slacking of the three shifts. Management does nothing to help the situation as they favor second shift, because that is where they came from that shift.
My coworkers are great it is managment that is the problem
Review from Customer Support Dept
My coworkers who look at the dumpster Fire and still come into the room and help me out.
The culture is genuine and comoassionate
The company is not positive, the unit I work in is.
Review from Operations Dept
Communicating, team mentality, working together on same goals and being heard
Hoping to build clinic with new patients!
Review from Customer Support Dept
Listen to nurses and other team members at meetings. Actual collaboration, not meetings where HR says "thanks for your feedback" its insulting.
Our culture is patronizing and patriarchal. We’re told what to do and no input is sought from the exper
Work as a team, that everyone is part of the team to give great patient care
Review from Customer Support Dept
Leadership needs to do what they say they're going to do instead of saying what they think employees want to hear.
Review from Operations Dept
It was with the unit manager so it was a positive experience.
Meeting a variety of interpersonal team members
I was seen by all the people I would be working with
Peer review was done at my last interview!
Review from Customer Support Dept
Meeting potential coworkers and complete transparency
Review from Operations Dept
Low level administrative personnel manage hiring process and show no deference or respect to prospective employees.
My team members that are like family.
Having a positive effect on my patients and their families
Making a difference and effecting outcomes positively
I love what I do and the projects that I have, they keep me busy but keep learning
Constant learning and coworker relationships
Review from Operations Dept
Longevity appreciation and when you say your voice matters, listen! Because it does not matter!
