She also served as chief operating officer of Verizon Wireless at Verizon Communications Inc. She served as Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President of Cellco Partnership, Inc. and served as its President for Midwest Area, where she was responsible for operations spanning 15 states. She was responsible for all marketing initiatives and the management and development of mobile products and services. This included brand management, media buying, agency management and website integration across the entire Cellco Partnership. Ms. Walden served as President of Southern California Region at Verizon Wireless. In this position, she was responsible for providing strategic direction, overseeing general operations and demonstrating sales leadership for Verizon Wireless in southern California, the largest single market in the United States for wireless service. Before joining the Southern California Region, she served as President of Verizon Wireless??? Desert Mountain Region since February 6, 2003 with responsibility for markets and customers in Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Idaho, Montana and Wyoming. She served as Branch Director for AirTouch Cellular in Colorado and Wyoming. Ms. Walden earned BA in English from California State University at Chico.
