Vertafore Leadership Employee Reviews

What do you like best about the leadership team?

We are treated like humans instead of numbers or property. Leadership gives fun opportunities for events outside of work and working events for collaboration. Leadership listens.

They know the insurance business inside and out, and they're very customer-retention focused.

Review from Operations Dept · Posted 7 days ago

I value the leadership team’s clear vision, openness to feedback, and collaborative approach. They lead by example, empower the team, and

Review from Engineering Dept · Posted 8 days ago

They are down to earth and do take time to listen to every employee.

I think it's easy to come up with examples of supervisors throughout my department doing great jobs at ensuring that we work well. But I feel if we go higher up things seem to be obfuscated, no acknowledgements of what we could be doing better as a company. And no clear plan to move forward from them

Review from Customer Support Dept · Posted 14 days ago

They lead by example, they take charge and do the things necessary for employee and customer satisfaction

Review from Customer Support Dept · Posted 14 days ago

Some of the managers are better than others. My leadership team is clear, concise, and consistent.

CEO stability has been much better the last few years. Amy Zupon is committed to the organization and I feel she has pride and desire to realize our customer value. The rest of the c-suite is more in flux - seems constant changes here. These would be harder to handle if Amy Zupon wasn't there.

She doesnt empower her leaders

Review from Executive Dept

Hard pass on this question.

Review from Finance Dept

I really appreciate that the leadership team is approachable and open to discussion. They make sure that communication is clear, and they're supportive when we need guidance. It helps to create a positive environment where everyone can perform their best.

Review from Product Dept

clear and concise goals for us

Review from Finance Dept

Adaptability, forward thinking, optimistic, supportive, helpful

Review from Engineering Dept

they seem dedicated but the HR team does not work from handbook and rules get changed and then are changed retroactively without the new changes being listed in the handbook.

Review from Customer Success Dept

Communication is key in leadership and our leadership team communicates.

Review from Product Dept

They always take time out of their week to meet one-on-one, ensuring that our plan for success is thoroughly discussed and deliberately executed.

Review from Engineering Dept

The behavior of the members in the organization.

Review from Engineering Dept

they listen to the employees

Review from IT Dept

They have a clear vision of where the company needs to go, and they're invested in taking us along with them.

Review from Operations Dept

I would say they do not lose sight of the big picture of this company's goals.

Review from Customer Success Dept

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Leadership should prioritize transparency and frontline needs over optics. Letting teams vote on in office days and addressing income challenges. 62.5% of workers in my role have to rely on second jobs while still being required to pay for parking. We have long commutes due to cost-of-living.

Review from Finance Dept

Career development. It is heavily promised but rarely seen put into action

Review from Customer Support Dept

Leadership needs to reinstate the flexible first model. Requiring in-office days every week has decreased employee morale.

Review from Finance Dept

Pay - the Pulaski Support team has not had a cost of living raise in at least 15 years

Review from Customer Support Dept

Move faster and not be afraid of breaking something

Review from Sales Dept

Get interested in the future of Vertafore.

Review from Sales Dept

Listening to their employees and actually taking action. Relaying things directly and not trying to spin unpopular decisions - we're adults and don't need to be told something that is obviously false.

Review from Operations Dept

Understanding employee needs, be clear about why they make certain decisions.

Review from Engineering Dept

Leadership should be transparent about the issues at V4 and should take ownership of the role they played in the creation of said issues.

Review from Legal Dept

compensation compensation compensation compensation compensation compensation compensation compensation

Review from Engineering Dept

We are constantly working 50 - 60 hour weeks, and we were threatened to have to work weekends. This is way too much.

Review from Engineering Dept

The executive leadership is completely out of touch.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Understanding employee needs, compensation and working remote.

Review from Engineering Dept

Don't lie about a "new normal" and "flexible first". Actions speak louder than words

Review from Customer Support Dept

Encourage employees to grow at professionally and personally towards their aspirations. Career growth opportunities are very minimal in respective to technology. Leadership should find innovative ways to enhance all the products by using current emerging technologies.

Review from Engineering Dept

Communication is lacking from leadership teams. The DEI initiatives are only performative. Often time decisions are made that impact employees (and don't impact customers) without input from employees and rolled out without much thought/consideration of how exactly it impacts employees.

Review from Operations Dept

They need to reinstall the flexible first work from home policy. Forcing us to come into the office on a regular basis provides no value and has significantly hurt job satisfaction and work-life balance. It is not only short-sighted, but it is causing good employees to leave, and hurting recruiting.

Review from Operations Dept

Remaining consistent in their messaging

Review from Product Dept

It's becoming clear that leadership doesn't care about or respect their employees. It doesn't feel like our opinions are valued and when we disagree with decisions, we're told that we're welcome to leave. It would be nice if we felt valued (and not with pizza parties).

Review from Operations Dept

Paying employees fairly. Many times we are short staffed and the compensation does not match. Raises rarely match inflation - being in Denver, the pay does not equal the amount needed to live in the city.
