I love being able to work in my own space. It is where I focus best and it allows me a comfort and efficiency I will forever be grateful for. I love working with my coworkers and having their consistent support.

lack of monotony. it never being a dull moment
Review from Customer Support Dept
The technology being used in the applications are too old and brittle because no time had been spent on tech debt. The processes are really inefficient as well. Basically the phrase "sunk-cost fallacy" comes to mind in terms of technology and processes

Review from Sales Dept
Those in charge of decisions have poor communication skills and a seeming lack of desire to retain and acquire talented employees. It is rare to run into someone who is actually excited to be working for Vertafore.

I don't have the tools to do my job efficiently and effectively. Salesforce is horrible for my position. The customers complain about it, it's a mess, and no one seems to care. I'd like more up to date tools. PowerBI can pull data from several platforms and make a nice overall picture.

Easing off some of what I believe to be pointless performance metrics would help. It feels like you have to sacrifice quality to hit some of the efficiency goals, which makes me less proud of what I do.

POs and higher-ups are pushing for unrealistic timelines which causes developers to work extreme hours. We don't have time to see our families.

Get rid of the idiotic executives forcing us to return to the office.

Constant changing of direction by leadership is exhausting and inefficient. Then we are told we are getting things done fast enough.
Review from Engineering Dept
Too much misalignment between departments. Management making decisions without taking labor into consideration. All this leads to bad interactions with customers, which creates stress in work environment.
Review from Customer Support Dept
Our workload is extremely too much for our team to handle and constantly feels like we are drowning. The low pay is counteracted by fully remote, but now that is being slowly taken away.

The company isn't actively investing in its employees and only has performative initiatives regarding culture/employee improvement. There is not actual accountability for those initiatives and improvements are very rarely made.

It's a job, am I supposed to be excited?

We have lots of customer and employee turnover. Upper management recently implemented a return to office policy with no clear reason as to why we need to start working from the office again, and losing employees due to this is going to make the customer experience worse (less employee knowledge).

We have a ton of work/time-commitments from above the product team causing stress as the teams must adjust and devote time to huge projects that should take ideally 3-4 years to do, rather than 6 months. Especially as some legacy products are not as fast as others due to resource constraints.
