Listening to teachers. Being less greedy. Designing better classes. Holding parents to and students to a higher standard that matches the demands they make of teachers.
The more the company grows and the more it becomes worth, the more they treat their employees as if they are expendable. I've worked for the company for four years and rather than receive raises as the company has grown, employees as a whole have seen a steady stream of pay and benefit cuts.
I think engaging new teachers and being more easily accessible would be really helpful starting out, especially with so many established teachers and it often feels we compete with one another for bookings.
They could work on empathy.
Review from Operations Dept
VIPKid has been chipping away at teacher pay since its CEO got greedy. Stop with the insulting "incentives" like tokens and dumbass paper cutouts. Give us more money.
The compensation does not justify the additional time required to prepare for class and to give feedback to the parents.
Review from Admin Dept
I feel very undervalued. Leadership constantly cuts employee compensation and expects employees to take it with a smile on their face.
No benefits are offered. We are not true employees but rather IC
Review from Sales Dept
Benefits would be better and I would feel valued

Figure stuff out without being helpless

Review from Product Dept
My coworkers are wonderful. No complaints.

I don't think anything needs to change.

The interviewers are often people who haven't taught classes in a very long time. Sometimes they aren't even familiar with basic company policies. Despite a lengthy interview process it really doesn't prepare you very well to teach -- a common complaint among many of my co-workers.
More upfront explanation of what the job actually entails.
Review from Operations Dept
There was a lot of self-education and unpaid training to get the job in the first place.
Review from Operations Dept
more support and education during interview process
Review from Operations Dept
It takes too much time, and it is too discretionary.
Review from Sales Dept
The pay is abysmal. Pay people more. We are professionals with degrees and experience. Stop squeezing us dry so you can keep getting wealthier at our expense.
I would like to see them be more relaxed with emergencies and cancellations
