Fast answers to questions and emails.

They run a very wonderful company! It is so nice to work from home before my kids wake up!
Listening to teachers. Being less greedy. Designing better classes. Holding parents to and students to a higher standard that matches the demands they make of teachers.
The more the company grows and the more it becomes worth, the more they treat their employees as if they are expendable. I've worked for the company for four years and rather than receive raises as the company has grown, employees as a whole have seen a steady stream of pay and benefit cuts.
I think engaging new teachers and being more easily accessible would be really helpful starting out, especially with so many established teachers and it often feels we compete with one another for bookings.
They could work on empathy.
Review from Operations Dept
I like how I am paid for short-notice classes.
Review from Operations Dept
The bonuses are great per class! It encourages your teach more!
I'm a contractor, so my compensation isn't really a "package". That being said, I appreciate that if you work, you get paid, and that you get paid for showing up even if your student doesn't that day.
Review from Operations Dept
I like the bonus opportunities.
Review from Sales Dept
Decent pay for my work.
Review from Operations Dept
VIPKid has been chipping away at teacher pay since its CEO got greedy. Stop with the insulting "incentives" like tokens and dumbass paper cutouts. Give us more money.
The compensation does not justify the additional time required to prepare for class and to give feedback to the parents.
Review from Admin Dept
I feel very undervalued. Leadership constantly cuts employee compensation and expects employees to take it with a smile on their face.
No benefits are offered. We are not true employees but rather IC
Review from Sales Dept
Benefits would be better and I would feel valued
Review from Customer Support Dept
I love the facebook groups
Review from Admin Dept
The classes are one-on-one with a student, so you don't necessarily have "co-workers" in the traditional sense.
Community feeling and very personal
Review from Sales Dept
They have improved a lot over the 3 years that I have worked with them!
Everyone is an independent contractor so it makes it easy to get along and share ideas.
Review from Operations Dept
They need to offer better teacher support if they want to jeep any teachers worth their salt.
Figure stuff out without being helpless
Review from Customer Support Dept
We don't really work as a team since we are independent contractors.
Review from Product Dept
My coworkers are wonderful. No complaints.
Review from Operations Dept
The students are the only positive.
We love the students and the curriculum
Review from Admin Dept
The students are, for the most part, pretty well behaved and can be a lot of fun to work with.
Caring team of teachers who love to help each other
Review from Sales Dept
We get to have fun teaching kids to learn.
Review from Operations Dept
I don't think anything needs to change.
Review from Operations Dept
I had a chance to do it over!
Review from Admin Dept
Easy to complete with friendly interviewers
Review from Sales Dept
It is a very subjective interview process and it is very inconsistent in how they grade your teaching in the hiring process!
The video chat was helpful.
Review from Operations Dept
Making a demo video of a class
Review from Communications Dept
The interviewers are often people who haven't taught classes in a very long time. Sometimes they aren't even familiar with basic company policies. Despite a lengthy interview process it really doesn't prepare you very well to teach -- a common complaint among many of my co-workers.
More upfront explanation of what the job actually entails.
Review from Operations Dept
There was a lot of self-education and unpaid training to get the job in the first place.
Review from Operations Dept
more support and education during interview process
Review from Operations Dept
It takes too much time, and it is too discretionary.
Review from Sales Dept
Seeing the faces of the children
Review from Admin Dept
Seeing all my students and helping them learn
Review from Sales Dept
Getting my paycheck makes me happy
Review from Customer Support Dept
I love teaching the kids! They are so cute!
My students like learning and are happy to see me.
Review from Operations Dept
The pay is abysmal. Pay people more. We are professionals with degrees and experience. Stop squeezing us dry so you can keep getting wealthier at our expense.
I like being able to work from home and having flexibility
I would like to see them be more relaxed with emergencies and cancellations
