great collaborative atmosphere and moral support form peers. Peer recognition is one of the only things keeping Zulily a company worth working for. At the same time, it is unfortunately the only true form of recognition that exists in my department, and has no monetary value.

coworkers have too many side projects and resort to politics to get persona agendas worked on, not doing what is required for our customers

There seems to be a new mentality in the past year that is very competitive amounst your peers, who can speak up more in a meeting, who can own the most projects, ect. Should be focused on the quality of work vs the amount of airtime you are getting in meetings.
