They are open to creatively drive our business forward. We work together as a team to drive progress.
Review from Operations Dept
My own copy leadership team is professional, pleasant, engaged and transparent. They all care about us employees as workers and as people. The top co. leadership team is professional and hard-working. I am watching to see how all the new plans, like Oygen, play out.
Review from Product Dept
The leadership team is friendly and responsive to any issues. The have gone to get lengths to retain me and others from a pay perspective. They could be a better job at developing team members from within.
Review from Operations Dept
shared vision of where they are going, as compared to what i want to work on and a team to be part of
Review from Operations Dept
They strive to keep the business current, profitable and maintain our work/life balance through wellness partnerships, DE&I initiatives, TMRGs and events.
Review from Marketing Dept
Caring about phone agents mental health. The customers are verbally abusive and badger the phone agents and the only support provided is the managers telling you it’s not you the customers are mad at the situation. There is no
Pay their employees a livable wage. I'm not even asking for competitive at this point, just pay me enough to live and afford groceries, utilities and rent. Don't overwork employees without paying them for overtime. Creative has been doing extra work without pay for months.
Review from Marketing Dept
Addressing the real world value of our labor and compensating us appropriately. Offering more internal opportunities for career advancement.
employee retention, work load, pay.
Review from Product Dept
start with the customer rather than metrics. we are trying to mold our customers' behavior into our business model instead of changing the business model to meet customer needs. I am disenchanted by our direction that over-indexes on price and under-indexes on a delightful experience/innovation
Review from Engineering Dept
The bonus program is nice
Review from Operations Dept
The wage is satisfactory and the bonuses are helpful and appreciated.
Review from Operations Dept
The entire package is good and fair. it offers a lot of flexibility.
Review from Operations Dept
work life balance makes up for limits to pay and bonus
Review from Operations Dept
Good pay, seems competitive in the industry
Review from Marketing Dept
Starting salaries are low, and raises are just tiny. Benefits are good, but healthcare is so expensive. It's hard to get by on what Zulily pays me. Also, I have found internal promotion to be nigh-impossible for me. I'm always frustrated.
Review from Product Dept
At least getting paid 25 per hour and the company should pay for all of our healthcare. I am more depressed and anxious than i have ever been in my entire life and it’s due to the environment. It is demea
Being paid a livable wage. Being paid according to the amount of work I do. I consistently do more work than others on my team and I get paid the same as them. In yearly reviews I'm told this extra work is going towards my "development" and that's why I don't get paid more, but I want compensated.
Review from Marketing Dept
The assistant buyer role at Zulily is much more involved than a typical assistant buyer role so basing pay off market rates doesn't seem quite right. I also personally feel and have noticed several others becoming increasingly frustrated that we do so much but path to promotion/better pay is unclear
Review from Product Dept
Be paid more fairly based on the high-levels of production we are expected to do daily, as well as the amount of information and knowledge we are required to have across several teams. Folks working at similar businesses are paid far more and do far less.
Review from Marketing Dept
We openly support each other and balance the workload nicely,
Review from Operations Dept
I love my team members--they are hard-working, eager to collaborate and creative.
Review from Product Dept
The people on the team are very nice and always willing to help no matter what.
Most everyone is friendly and easy to work with.
Review from Operations Dept
Creative, fun, endearing people who want to do a great job and provide a good customer experience.
Review from Marketing Dept
coworkers have too many side projects and resort to politics to get persona agendas worked on, not doing what is required for our customers
Review from Operations Dept
My job role is very independent- interaction with coworkers just honestly is not needed often at all.
Review from Marketing Dept
There seems to be a new mentality in the past year that is very competitive amounst your peers, who can speak up more in a meeting, who can own the most projects, ect. Should be focused on the quality of work vs the amount of airtime you are getting in meetings.
Review from Product Dept
Everyone belongs and we welcome DE & I. We welcome ideas regardless of your position and do our best to include others in decision making when possible.
Review from Operations Dept
Zulily encourages teamwork, collaboration and creativity.
Review from Product Dept
How helpful fellow agents are when it comes to helping. Everything else is pretty bad like I said my mental health is at an all time low and there is absolutely no support for the mean customers there is no time to do things between calls because there’s no t
This company offers a very diverse and accepting culture. There is very little judgement in any way.
Review from Operations Dept
for the key coworkers, they make it a challenging and fun place to be. But thats likely 15-20% of the time
Review from Operations Dept
Listening to and acting on the needs of team members. This question is asked again and again. More appropriate compensation, better benefits. What is good for the gander is good for the goose. Company culture is meaningless when compensation is lacking; it is literally the only reason we are here.
We need to figure out who we are, and lean into that. We need more transparency and honesty from HR. We need to drive ownership as a way of interacting throughout our company - and we do that by truly empowering our people.
Review from Product Dept
More vacation time, better parental benefits, better quality managers. Its hard to feel motivated when your up against managers who you dont respect or who are impeding on progress rather than helping.
Review from Engineering Dept
Casual, conversational, experiential. They're interested in who you are as a person, almost more so than your technical skill set.
Review from Marketing Dept
Good communication from the recruiter even when strung along.
Review from Marketing Dept
It's fair and non biased, measures are taken to ensure thoughtful assessments are being made. Discussions have depth but are also conversational. Interview teams represent the team a candidate will work with.
Review from HR Dept
Clarity around benefits, and the real impact/change.
The team that works for me is amazing
Review from Operations Dept
Knowing that I can make a difference not only in our processes, but also our culture.
Review from Operations Dept
I am happy to be working with my skills in my field of writing and editing. I also love my coworkers.

the 3-4coworkers that I work well with
Review from Operations Dept
Creativity, engagement, personal and professional development opportunities, collaboration across teams. Perks are cool too.
Review from Marketing Dept
Increase the aht time so people aren’t having mental breakdowns during/after calls when some problems take 20 minutes to solve and that happens multiple times a day. I am forced to cut corners to try and meet the time each day. The clients are old and need their h
The creative team is being overworked and not compensated fairly. This should be an easy fix: just pay us a fair wage for the amount of work we do and don't overwork us.
Review from Marketing Dept
I look forward to what each day brings and am generally happy with my job. The nature of this business can be very repetitive and monotonous. There is not really a lot that can be done to change that. My company does events and lunches frequently to show their thanks for the hard work.
Review from Operations Dept
we're down headcount by a lot and our workload hasn't been reduced enough. we need people. on my team alone we have lost a few people due to frustrations with recognition and promotions so that process needs to be improved
Review from Product Dept
my manager is difficult to work with and my concerns are dismissed when bubbled up; our team workload is overwhelming as a whole and people don't have bandwidth to dig deeper or do stretch projects; the work is not fulfilling
