On the personal contributor rung, everyone is incredibly friendly and fun. They work hard but they also go out of their way to form genuine relationships with their coworkers.

In 3 years I never received a raise nor a promotion, merely lateral moves. I jumped into every new role given to me with enthusiasm and drive, but it wasn't enough. Regular conversations about compensation and expectations would have been good. There is absolutely no transparency.
