The guest's being genuine people. After your week shadowing people you will begin to work on your own. But don't expect assistance from management, they're busy promoting cooks to management and cooking. They dont have time for guest interaction or helping servers get comfortable with their position
When the general mangers show up, have them actually be useful instead of aitting and eating and then getting in the way in the kitchen. They're a part of the problem.. they dont seem to know the menu either, when they try to do QA it ALWAYS gets backed up.. and theyre back there eating anyway..
It would be nice to make more than minimum wage and not soend half if a shift cleaning for the people that get to stay on to make all of the money and not have anything to clean when they're done. The new "runner" position made my earnings drop below minimum wage. Talking to manager = sent home.
