hard work is not always recognized (same people get the awards every year), some groups have a lot of employees, and some are barely scraping by, goals and objectives switch almost daily, favoritism is obvious (favorites get groomed for advancement while others just get more work)
a genuine thank you from anyone
most are genuinely nice people
we hire in new people that make more than the tenured employees
most are looking to push blame to others, no one takes accountability for their area of responsibility, everything takes multiple requests
many co-workers NEVER respond to requests. They have the opinion if you want or need something do it yourself (I've had to order parts, make shipping labels, chase signatures, walk to shipping, contact suppliers for information, etc...) minimal teamwork, if they don't want to do something they don't
my boss has explained "stay-flation" as new people must be brought in making more money and that is just the way it is. My tenure, dedication, contributions are not considered valuable. We know increases are not done with manager's input as we did not contribute to our direct reports
everything is last minute, we have no ability to plan. For example: everything (everything) from HR is last minute - reviews; due this week, blood drive: tomorrow, JD's and KPI's; training tomorrow.... if you are on PTO you can VERY easily be late or miss entirely. IT - move files by today
