To be honest, the pressure we all have to face day in a day out do have an effect on us and our co workers. Most of us are friendly to each other, but often most of us connect on the misery of the job.
To be honest, the pretend to give the approach that they are open to new ideas, and direct/honest feedback, and that "my door is always open if I want to sit down and grab a coffee" but they honestly don't care about you as an individual.
Retail has changed greatly over the past 10yrs, with the advancement of EComm and the suddenly effect on the industry due to COVID, that our jobs as SMs and become exponentially more challenging. As side from that, the company has been increasing our workloads with SOP that are ridiculous & timely
