I don't feel my level of leadership experience was taken into consideration when hired. Only job knowledge was measured as I was brought in at the bottom of the pay scale. Negation was not even considered during my job offer conversation when I brought it up.
we only get 5% employee discount compared to other grocery stores that gives employees 15-20%
average buyer at some competitors make +$100k. Perhaps an additional week of vacation would be nice.
We jump thru hoops .Work life balance is terrible , company over promises but under delivers. We never have a consistent schedule , this is the reason we loose so many associates in Management. Need to staff the Admin ranks.

Working remotely was a huge benefit. I felt SS was a leader in the industry driving a cultural change. Over the last 3 yrs working remotely I have been able to balance family life while not sacrificing goals to grow in my career. Longer work days were possible because the office was my home.
At times, we fail to prioritize and use our resources appropriately to achieve the best ROI. We have a tendency to pursue big bucket ideas & projects that have not been thoroughly vetted and we can abandon strategies that have not been allowed the proper time to grow roots and take hold.
