The volume of waste this company contributes to is ridiculous. The policies of lean-staffing and the randomly enforced "no drinks (including WATER) at the registers" were frustrating. Lean staffing caused daily panicked texts from managers and definite retaliation if you didn't drop all to come in.

Generally my coworkers are all working hard to be helpful and polite, but the reviews for the customer service at our store are abysmal. So there is some kind of disconnect.

As always lean staffing leaves too much on any one person's plate. Along with absurd corporate selling/credit goals which turn managers into hustlers and takes their focus OFF of managing their actual staff. It's clear that staff is disposable, hence the turnover rate.

Ulta does everything it can to keep as few people as possible at full-time so as to not have to pay benefits. Minimum wage is NOT enough to actually live on and the company is hesitant to make lower level employees full time but then demands your availability whenever there's a staffing crisis.
