Preguntado a all employees at Hewlett Packard Enterprise

  • There is no work life balance at HPE.

  • Pretty good

  • Horrible. They expect you to be on 24/7. Weekend work is the norm, especially in Supply Chain. You are on call every day. You are expected to provide your own cell phone for business purposes. Many employees call in from vacation because they are afraid of losing their jobs if they aren't available.

  • Anything that can break down the silos. Departmental meetings that span different teams, "whole office" or even "whole floor" get togethers. We need each other and we need to remember to look beyond our own noses.

  • I would be the CEO. I would invest in development and ensure that my products were things my people would be proud to sell.

The policy is there allowing people to work from home but it’s up to each manager’s discretion. In my case, my manager works from home near Dallas, yet he requires his entire team to work onsite in Houston.

  • HPE's guidance is 2 days in the office but it's flexbile and is up to the needs of each team. My team goes in for a few meetings once or twice a week but most of the work is done remotely.

  • You're generally not allowed to work from home. Some employees do and are made to drive by the office and swipe their badge so that the tracking system registers them in the office. If a manager's staff drops below 50%, they get in trouble. They are not hiring any new telework jobs. You must be withing distance of a core site to be employed.

  • Great morale!

  • Cannot possibly be worse. Wait, I've said that before and was wrong . . .

  • Terribly, awfully low. What else could it be, really? This company has created a culture of layoffs in the last decade. These layoffs are by and large not even performance based since any non-performers were eliminated ages ago. On top of that annual raises and bonuses always disappoint. There is no external training for certifications or advanced degrees. God, I could go on and on and on . . .

Preguntado a la Marketing Department at Hewlett Packard Enterprise

  • Meh. We're losing talent in mid-management, however that might allow some others to shine. A few dinosaurs at the top. Very nice people, however some aren't keeping up with the times, and at least one is such a penny pincher that it becomes hard to get things done and affects morale as a result.

  • Good middle management. Those at the top aren’t as nimble or innovative as We need, which can slow things down and waste money. Continuing challenges exist moving beyond a single-product mentality. As a result of all listed, talent is starting to look elsewhere.
