Which one? Having reported into different groups, "what it's like" is very different in each one. Strategy, planning and operations team is hands-down the most innovative and easiest to be successful in due to their overall approach and positive mindset. It would be nice if other marketing teams took note.

Typically the Engineering managers and your managers one or two above the developers are pretty good. They would like to look out for you and help you in your career. However, they are typically not empowered to do anything for you.
