I am working for 10 years at Synopsys. My job grade will change soon from R&D Engr Senior II to Staff (L3). I have some teammates that have been working here for 2/3 years, and their role is also changing from R&D Engr Senior I to Staff (L3) , which leaves them in the same position as mine.

I am working for 10 years at Synopsys, I have been promoted 3 times (R&D I --> R&D II --> Senior I --> Senior II). Soon my job grade will be L3, the same as some teammates who have been promoted only once (entered at R&D II level and promoted to Senior I)
