Overall, my work experience is positive. Every company has room to improve. If I ran XPO, I'd place more emphasis on not wasting subordinates' time (start/stop meetings on time!), ensuring workers >50 are included in our D&I initiatives, and improve PTO allocations for Sr. Managers and above.

What makes me happiest at work is recognition for progress towards and achievement of our goals. I work hard and while compensation is nice, recognition mitigates the long-term impact of "bad" days.

The team I am on is fantastic. They are smart, resourceful, and we approach our goals with passion. The team I support is a somewhat different story. They are power-hungry, struggling for control, and working to "check the box" on corporate initiatives that require consideration/input from workers

While everyone would like to make more money, I'm "satisfied" with my overall comp package. Having said that, when I hired in, it was with the lowest amount of PTO I've had in the past 20 years. My VP said it couldn't be negotiated. That should change.

I love that we are working hard to be increasingly more inclusive. Wish we paid more attention to ageism in the workplace. It seems that only younger workers are being identified as "hipos". What about our more experienced workers? Even if older, some of those team members are high potential, too
