The pace is manic. In a time of devastating economic recession, when we are very profitable, there's a push for "decreasing costs to operate" our products with many rounds of micro layoffs. The company says "students first" but internal goals are "simplify the funnel." People feel taken for granted.

They pay on a scale based on location versus experience and the roles are evaluated based on "job profile" which is set by HR versus your title and job responsibility. There is no system to ask for a raise and there is no system to review employee performance.

It's a bro club. If you're not friends with the right people, you will not have the opportunity to move your career forward. Managers are exceedingly junior and have no change management strategy. I have to remind my managers what I work on every single day to get credit or recognition of my value.
