I got in trouble for denying sales to customers because the customers sometimes would not show me a valid form of identification. I always felt dumb

I was a member of management and Pay was only getting paid starting off nine dollars an hour and cashiers were getting paid over $10 an hour and I asked my boss why I was getting paid less than them and he said it was because I was starting out and I told him I am a member of management.
