New cashiers are being hired in making more money or the same amount of pay as I do. I have been with the company for over a year and do not understand why I can't seem to get my voice to be heard. My manager ignores my concerns and it has led me into a major depression. Please help me.

Pay the raises due to each employee when they are due. Get rid of the "step" system for raises. If the company chooses to hire an employee in over the standard rate for the job they're hiring into. That's the company's fault. Not the employee.

Company culture is terrible. There is a lot of work that needs to be done. Not even for the store managers but the company needs to look at it through cashier, shift lead or the asms eyes. Nobody wants to be on call 24/7 and thats what store managers go through.

I have proven myself time and time again to be promoted and have worked on many issues regarding improvement. When the time comes for me to get promoted, someone else who has the same opprotunities of growth comes along and takes the spot, regardless of length of employment.

The same thing goes with people calling out. We run on skeleton crews so if someone gets sick or has an emergency you have no extra person to cover their shift. Your 10 hours day quickly add up to 14-16 hour days because you absolutely have no help

Wage increases and better promotion opportunities. Cashiers get overlooked for promotions because the store managers expect the cashiers to pander to their egos and whims to get a promotion instead of promoting the cashiers based on experience and knowledge of the job.
