Overall experience is decent as a start-up company given the size and industry of the company. The company can do more to retain current employees and loyal veteran employees by giving more incentives or compensation.
Flexible work hours and no dress code
Constant new updates about the company
Better dental and vision insurance
More perks to help out employee that is working from home.
Transparency and updates within the department/team. There are enough communication within our team.
Frequent updates on the company's operation, goals, and achievements with Wish Wednesday or department-wide all-hand meetings.
Wish hosts a social event every other Wednesday and quarterly team outings to encourage team bonding.
My team is generally talkative and likely to share personal life or so online activities with each other. It brings a good balance of life and work.
401K is a big part of employees' motivation to work longer for a company. Unfortunately, Wish currently does not match the employee's 401k contribution. Employee compensation is also quite low for employees that are required to work in SF office versus employees who can work remotely permanently.
There is no extra compensation for employees that needs to travel to the office weekly versus an employee who can remotely since SF is quite expensive and somewhat unsafe. I am less motivated to go into the office if I am required to spend extra money on fares and take the chance of being mog.
