Joann does not value its employees. Period. Profits are all that matters to them and they walk all over the people who make those profits possible. If you craft or sew the employee discount is really the only incentive for working here if you don't mind giving your paycheck back to the company.

If Joann corporate administration would make an actual effort to improve work conditions and pay employees fairly rather than prioritizing cutting hours, morale would be higher and team members might care more about doing a good job. The current conditions make being genuinely friendly a challenge.

Most of my in-store team are good people trying to do the best we can with what little hours the Joann corporate office allows us to use. We are stretched thin but still try to do what needs to be done and support each other and our customers the best we can.
