Jo-Ann Stores Team Employee Reviews

What are some of the best things about your team?

We help each other out

creative souls in the same place makes for a fun, learning environment

They are the best at being dishonest.

Friendly, hard working, take more pride in their work than the executives take in the company

My store team are trained and continue to ask questions and ask for help while completing new tasks

Friendly, welcoming, good at educating.

Some of my coworkers are incredibly nice and easy to work with

First there are no team meetings. Just about all the emplyees are hard working personable and care a great deal about the customers . Wish that management felt the same way about thier employees

Talkative, approachable, easy-going, well-tempered, and intelligent

Review from Sales Dept

Most of the team members are very supportive and always willing to help eachother

Review from Sales Dept

They do the best with what they have.

They are fun to work with and make the day go by quickly

My team is extremely loyal to the store and my staffing needs

Review from Operations Dept

their decades worth of combined knowledge on fabric and sewing products. they know their regulars well, and care about them.

We strive to get the job done.

Review from Sales Dept

Coworkers are nice, management is incompetent

Review from Customer Success Dept

The coworkers were nice, at least.

They are so sweet and kind.

They were hard working and treated poorly

Hard working dedication loyalty tolerant

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

We're all stressed about the same things. It brings morale down.

The store needs to hire people at a hire wage so people feel worth their work

Stop bringing transgenderism into the workplace

More meetings or even having really any. Seeing as there are rarely any comunication between team members

talk to each other including management to employees.

Morale would be better of staff was treated and paid fairly. I blame corporate.

We should have store meetings, actual training.

Middle management needs to improve for the regular workers to improve. Morale is very low, there is no motivation for the employees to improve- they have no power.

Co workers are fine. Just management that's terrible.

Review from Sales Dept

My coworkers are all perfectly fine. We do our jobs the best we can while being understaffed. It's the general manager that we need improvement with. Again, I have a lot to say about the GM of our store. We need a manager that doesn't manipulate and threaten us for the sake of her bonus.

Better communication, bring back the meeting in the morning.

Review from Sales Dept

They need to be more team players and not competitive towards one another .especially during this pandemic.. management needs to be more supportive

Review from Customer Success Dept

A lot of our team members don't give their full 100%. But the real problem is the managers.

Review from Sales Dept

they should improve communication skills and get along better

Review from Sales Dept

Listen to your employees and you'll have a better outcome with your stores.

Review from Sales Dept

Certain workers in certain stores are better than others. But if JoAnn's would actually look at who they're hiring, there be less slackers (that do so blatantly).

Review from Sales Dept

Most of my coworkers are rather bossy, even though we are in the same position. They also don't act like a team, which leads to s somewhat hostile workplace.

Review from Sales Dept

If the store manager didn't cause such a negative feeling in the workplace, I think coworkers would feel more welcomed to interact more pleasantly with one another.

Review from Sales Dept

The people who work there are old woman who hate their lives, and do not care about customer service.

Review from Sales Dept

There are no meetings. They expect people to pass on messages to other people. They have a morning huddle but its always the same 3 people there. When there are changes people have to figure it out on their own
