Jo-Ann Stores Interviews Employee Reviews

What did you like most about the interview process?

The manager who interviewed and hired me

The chance to thank them to give me a job and chance to let me show them how I can help to get our store to shine.

Review from Customer Support Dept

It was pleasant and didn't feel intimidating

Fairly easy and quick to get hired.

My boss is kind and the interview was fine.

It was very comfortable expieroence

It was in person with store manager and i was hired on the spot. Overall very easy process to apply and interiew.

It was easy-going and didn't pressure me too much to be something that I wasn't as an employee.

Review from Sales Dept

The interview process was maybe 3 questions

It was incredibly easy. The assistant manager looked at my resume and asked when I could start.

The interview process was fast and easy

Review from Sales Dept

Eye to eye contact. Not done on the computer until personnal interview.

Review from Operations Dept

An honest manager who gave an accurate summary of the store

I've been with joanns so long I don't think the knew people get enough attention

Review from Sales Dept

The old managers that hired me were perfessional

Not overly long, Constructive and positive.

Being able to come face to face with the manager, and talking of my abilities and what was expected of me.

The interviewer was patient and professional without being stiff

Been working there for three years and when I interviewed it was a quick and easy process. Now, they'll hire anyone they can to fill out the staff, and most new hires quit because they didn't like having to do things.

Questionable they hire trash and do not fallow prodicall

What would you improve about your company's interview process?

Not hudt hitring people who walk in the door

Let interviewees know they're in a group interview BEFORE they show up for the interview

Review from Customer Success Dept

The interviews seem pretty basic

Ask actual questions that may gauge whether the person is a good fit for the company. The turn over rate is very high because they hire everyone.

Not thorogh enough training is bate minimum same standards not held for all

Ask questions about what we sell.

Review from Sales Dept

Make it seem more friendly and make it seem like the person being hired is a commodity and not a robot that takes on tasks of multiple other employees that quit from poor management.
