Our DD Steve) creates a positive atmosphere. He always thanks people, focuses on the wins, is easy to talk to, and treats people with respect.
We have some new young talent that has helped change the morale of the store and made work fun. My current store manager understands the importance of life outside of stop and shop. He is a good person to work for.
The job is tiring because exempts wear so many hats. There needs to be full store teams and there should be a part time closer or designated closer on each night with an exempt for better support so we are not trapped in receiving with trucks, have support during emergencies, and can take a lunch.
Training. This company does not have a good training program, and its across the board. We don't take time to give constructive feedback t retain good people. We also fail at hiring good candidates because we offer a poor starting salary. We hire school kids and expect to go from good to great.
