Do not micro manage work process. management need to learn that employee will only grow and mature with experience and corrected mistakes

I am getting paid less than my direct report. PTO cannot be taken easily without worrying about work being backed up. Work force is designed in a way all must be present and work nonstop at all time plus overtime to complete given task.
