The leadership team need to take a look at reporting and goal setting for store teams. There is way too much unnecessary metric reporting that we are held to that reduce our time on the sales floor and limit our engagement with customers.
I feel the incentive plan we currently have does not compensate us enough for the work we do all year driving service and standards. Delivering on all side of this business for a company who just keeps asking more and more from store teams.
There was a time where I was once proud to say I worked for Stop & Shop but that is long gone. We used to care about customers, service and quality products. Meat depts are embarrassing compared to our competitors since doing away with butchers. Its now all about the sale gimmick and reporting.
