Developing and communicating career paths. Career advancement is poorly defined. Many positions have nothing to develop and strive towards. Leadership positions are frequently hired from outside the company.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

As a growing and very agile company we tend to say yes to more things than we have resources to support. The frenzied pace, time requirements, travel requirements, and stress levels all contribute to burnout. There is often very little recovery time before the next urgent, high priority project.
