
The pool of potential staff has changed dramatically in the last 10 years, mostly because of E verify. Nobody wants to work, but everybody wants to get paid.
The bonus structure leaves a lot to be desired. Rarely do you hit the bonus and even when you do, it's so insignificant. There's no motivation for managers other than GMs and EKMs to hit bonus.
We used to be the leader in the industry in every category. We paid the best. We staffed for success. Now it's all about hitting numbers for shareholders instead of driving sales and delivering a great experience to the guests. We are expected to do so much more, with so much less.
