Builders firstsource is definitely a company that values good, hard working individuals. I was accepted to be a team player, despite having a criminal background. This job is the most stable part of my life and I plan on retiring from BFS, maybe after another 30 years.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Everyone is so accepting and friendly.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Just getting the health insurance alone, saved me $200 a month
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Even though producing a lot of material is a great goal, the leadership team values the safety of every employee, more than getting as much out the dooras we can.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Our whole department currently has only 5 guys, but we are so much of a team environment, and we all help out one another. We are more of friends at work, rather than just coworkers
What makes you most happy at work?
The work that I specifically, do in the ReadyFrame department, is play with big blocks of wood and try to make a flat stacked pallet. It's very similar to playing tetris and building with Legos as a kid. I'm glad that have found a job where I can enjoy the same things that I enjoyed as a kid.
