I mean my direct manager is good, I have no clue who the executive team is besides who Peter Jackson is, They don't bother to leave the comfort of HQ or their at home comfort jobs where all they do is teams meetings all day. How can you really be a leader with out even meeting who you lead

Listening and recognizing the individuals. There are ups and downs in every market. We celebrated so hard when we hit those highs, but now that we've come down, it feels like we are continuously getting our teeth kicked in.

the vehicle reimbursements program is severely lacking. Competitor are offering double to monthly allotment and much better milage. Also, basing this off a mid-sized SUV is wrong. Any good lumber/door salesman should be driving a truck. Company trucks were the best option for customer service.

The pay is lower than someone with my qualifications should be making, the raises are so tiny they are barely even noticeable, and you must wait a full year to get a raise, regardless of circumstances or progress made over the first few months. VERY frustrating because that locks you into low pay.

There is a lot of negativity and gossip. No support from management as far as having those who are not pulling their weight to do more causing burnout in the others with heavier work loads.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Better pay for the work. More recognition especially for those, other than salesman, that have been with the company for many years. Celebrate differences at the local level. There is a lot of positivity at the corporate level but not at the local warehouses/yards.

We have some employees here that have helped build this store for many years and are very knowledgeable about how to make a customer happy to return. Those ideas from us should be considered in our everyday operations and not just told that it's not the direction the company is going.

Leadership has lost our buy in. They're so focused on digital and dollars. They've lost focus on the TM in front of them. Outside sales can do absolutely no wrong, and other teams like inside sales and pricing are constantly being kicked down.

Commissions need to be high. Maternity leave should NOT be better for salaried employees compared to hourly. Get to know the people and understand what fuels them.
