Been here since 2020 as a contractor. In less than a year I have been promoted to a more engaging position and I have traveled to both other HQs and the Vegas convention. Not to mention the opportunities I have to learn new skills.
Briefly describe your overall experience at your company
Working for BMC\BFS has been the highlight of my working experience post military. I have been given opportunities to acquire new knowledge and opportunities for growth within my personal IT journey. Not to mention being included in marketing pieces since 2022.
What makes you most happy at work?
Being able to fix something that most people would consider hard with hardly any effort.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Moving from hourly pay to salary pay brought the freedom of no time clock and responsible time off (unlimited).
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Just never felt welcomed in an organization before outside of the military. Especially with this being my first permanent IT job.

May take some effort, but the cross training opportunities are abundant and the resources for additional IT trainings are readily available.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Everyone is willing to listen and learn from someone if they have more experience in a particular situation regardless of official position.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
The pay is towards the bottom of the average for my position but I get to travel and the benefits are outstanding.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Any of the guys on my immediate team work well together. We share knowledge and help each other out without any hassle whatsoever.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
They trust me to perform my job without micro managing. They are always giving out congrats whenever something is done in a timely manner.

We are in the loop as far as our immediate jobs are concerned and how the company as a whole is performing throughout the year.
What makes you most happy at work?
Being able to help out in many ways. Never stuck doing the same things over and over and there is plenty of room for growth and advancement within my team.
