They favor people that they like and exclude the ones they don't. Management does not treat employees fairly. They allow their leads to be 45 mins to an hour late everyday but write up people that are genuinely sick. They don't allow people to have a true chance to move up in the company.
What would you improve about your company's interview process?
Actually hire people for what they apply for and working them in the departments they are hired for
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The only positive thing is some of the coworkers I get to work with. That's the only part of working at food lion that's worth while
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Management and their lack of fairness to the employees and mistreatment they give their employees and getting them to stop treating us badly and talking bad about us
What are some of the best things about your team?
I work well with 3 of my other team members which all of them get mistreated by management constantly put down by the grocery manager and assistant manager and the main manager ignores all of us except telling the grocery manager to get on us about something he doesn't like.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Because I was over looked for a lead position and wasn't even given a chance to show I could do it. I applied for that position 2 times and was hired as part time when I applied for full time lead. I am beimg put in another department where everyone that works it makes more than I do to do that job
