Working remote: not having to deal with noisy cubicle neighbors, not having to deal with nasty office cliques, & not being judged by what I look like and whether my personal interests are those of others.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Too little time to actually work, have to use vacation days for sick days/dr appts/take care of family so no vacation, medical care is expensive under our plan & not on par with other energy companies, no work life balance, no training opps, just use & abuse & become out of date on knowledge
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Can't get response why insurance plan standard mammogram costs me > $500, can't afford I don't appreciate the exec team pressuring to be on camera in mtgs, benefit of wrk'g remote is not being judged on grey hair & appearance Too many mtgs, too few hrs to wrk No clue company direction wrk in bubble
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Be more considerate of my time Provide higher quality info Fewer mtgs A squeaky wheel does not get things done faster, causes further delays Respect deadlines, be on time to mtgs, have an agenda for mtgs, stay on task during mtgs, do not talk over each other Train on email effective communication
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I get to work remote & my direct supervisor as opposed to the person who overseas my work, who does not understand my work I occasionally get to be in a mtg with someone who is friendly and understands the work & effort it takes to complete my work as opposed to complains and always dissatisfied
