As a whole I absolutely love working for JLR. However I have recently found myself working within a department that does not align with my current goals and aspirations. Although I wish to move departments I have no desire to leave the company.
What makes you most happy at work?
The team I work with is amazing, being able to say I work for one of the most well known and revered car manufactures is also a bonus.
What did you like most about the interview process?
It gave me an opportunity to display my talent, it also assured me that other employees would have a respectable level of knowledge in order to create a competent team.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The pace is much more relaxed than what I am used to which is a breath of fresh air to me. The overall environment is one of professionalism, work-life balance, customer love and staff well-being.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
I am at an age where the future is becoming increasingly important to my family and I, as such, the pension scheme has set me on a path that will afford me the luxury of a complete retirement without financial worries.
What are some of the best things about your team?
As a team we successfully operate a completely new department within JLR. We very much enjoy our days with a mixture of laughter and conversation while upholding the JLR code of conduct. This affords us with an excellent work environment and great job satisfaction.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
It has become apparent that my leaders have very little concern for my personal goals, nor do they have any desire to utilise my knowledge and experience. I have found a "know your role" attitude applies to the team as the sanctity of grade structure seems far more important than experience.
