University of Utah Environment Employee Reviews

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

supportive learning, eager helpers, great team interactions

Most people genuinely want to help, but it’s difficult to do so because of managemen

The atmosphere and the majority of the people. I am fortunate to work with positive people around me and if I have questions, our supervisor line is always there to assist, with no judgment.

The current Interim Chief Alumni Relations Officer has focused on strengths and a positive culture. She's been moving the proverbial ship in the ocean!

My mentor gives good feedback when I have questions.

Bosses helpful kind supportive top notch

No one micromanages us. We're able to work and ask for help and get help when we need it, but otherwise are trusted to be left alone.

Most of the people are great but there are those that are toxic.

Good working environment and has work life balance

It is work driven with little drama.

Open layout, everyone can interact without any barriers.

In my particular dept. we are all pretty tight knit.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Loosen the dress code and let people work from home when possible

It's a good environment. Recently they changed scheduling for psych techs to self scheduling and a lot of the psych techs are unhappy about this. I think it will even out but there is a lot of negativity about the change.

Stop backbiting and infighting. Stop tattling. Stop treating others with disrespect. Help those who need it without demeaning them.

Be positive and make sure to recognize all employees, as needed.
