How employees describe working at ADP

I always say I'm a "lifer" I have been here for 18 years and I don't plan to leave.

Review from Client Services Dept

I love this company, by far the best I've ever worked for. My only complaint with ADP is our strict 3x2 hybrid model. For many of our roles, working from home is more efficient, productive and allows for better work/life balance. However, the executive leadership doesn't seem to understand this.

Nothing like it! I love the experience I have had at ADP so far and hope to continue to have more!

Review from Operations Dept

That it includes base, bonus and equity

Review from HR Dept

being able to connect with others

Stop laying off the tenured, educated, higher paid employees who worked there anywhere from 2-30 or more years.

  • if you are going to lay off or force retire all your experienced staff have a plan before hand to fill that vacuum. and out sourcing to India does not work as that plan.

  • Better top down communication

  • Common based on the situation

It's a huge corp so it all depends on where you apply, for what role, and who the hiring manager is. There is no unified process, it's all over the place and thus could be a simple phone screen and a single day of interviews, or multiples of both followed by long waits and/or never hearing a response at all.

  • I went through a recruiter, so I had a phone screen with them, then with ADP, then an in person. Process was pretty quick - took about 3 weeks from start to hire.

  • Long. Generally its 1-2mths with a full day of interviews near the end of the process. The background check is significant and lengthly.

  • Any dress code

  • Currently there is none. They did away with business casual and now you can come as you want except when executives are visiting or something. Of course there are limits but for the most part you can dress however you want.

  • Extremely challenged in a bad way. People here cry all the time on the job being over worked the way we are of course people are going to break. It’s so sad that has become the norm. It’s alsopretty common to have people out on stress related disability

Asked to the Customer Support Department at ADP

  • I feel like your questions are very repetitive. I already answered this auestion

  • Extremely stessful, emotionally draining on a daily basis. Really effects your quality of life. Managers and executives don’t care about their employees. They only look at the bottom line about making money.

  • Exhausting, frustrating, under appreciated . Client Services is under appreciated and under paid even though we are on the front line having the daily interactions with our clients. Keeping them happy and their business running smoothly yet we get the short end of the stick in regards to everything at ADP

  • positive vibes

  • It is very structured, it is uptight definitely not laid back.

  • Depressing. People are rude and you can trust no one. There are the usual corporate-loving idiots who run around with their pom-poms cheer-leading as if it's the best place in the world, but for the most part these people are unemployable beyond this place and have been there forever. People with actual options collect their pay while looking for new jobs or simply decide they're happy doing the bare minimum for the paycheck and looking like a genius because their bare minimum is 100% more than what the majority of the workforce does.
