more growth opportunities should be available

Review from Operations Dept

Faster decision-making. fewer approval bottlenecks Better alignment between mission and incentives Elsevier positions itself as supporting science and research advancement, but critics sometimes feel pricing models, licensing structures, or metrics-driven goals can conflict with that mission.

Review from Operations Dept

Ensure pay parity within the team. Be more transparent about market risks due to AI. Strategise on how the company can be relevant beyond hype cycles around AI.

Review from Product Dept

on time communication with instructions that are much clearer and getting back to me with another level of support, not just pushing the same instructions over and over again

Review from Customer Support Dept

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Compensation Reviews

the entire value prop - money and culture & respect and values & care & belongingness and Pysch safety & so much more

Compensation Reviews

More pay transparency - salary ranges for all roles.

Review from Operations Dept

PayScale should be normalised across RELX for the designation which is presently not fair

Review from Engineering Dept

Food compensation at office is very minimal

Review from Finance Dept

The skills I bring to the team, my compensation does not compliment that. This is the case with various people in the team. Everyone is given almost similar money despite putting in more efforts.

Review from Product Dept

Equal comp with the current market price and benefits.

Review from Engineering Dept

What are some of the best things about your team?

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

Team Reviews

Working by video across time zones is hard.

Review from IT Dept

Linguistic and caste-based groupism and favouritism are experienced, but they are pushed under the rug. At the Chennai office, the Tamil and Telugu brahmin clique and coterie is too much to handle. All despise them. But nothing is openly told,

Review from Operations Dept

Keep a channel open for us to chat

Review from Customer Support Dept

They have to communicate with others by sharing their experiences and motivate each other to improve the quality of work within less time.

Review from Operations Dept

As our work is highly independent, greater cross-functional visibility and knowledge sharing would enhance efficiency across team. Establishing regular touchpoints, documenting key processes, and fostering an environment where questions and ideas are encouraged would help us collaborate more.

Review from Marketing Dept

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Environment Reviews

Great value and having leaders role model them EVERYDAY

Review from HR Dept

The culture promotes open communication and a healthy work environment, which helps employees feel comfortable contributing ideas and feedback.

Review from Operations Dept

Titles do not matter. a

Review from IT Dept

One of the most positive aspects of our culture is the strong sense of collaboration and support among colleagues. Teams genuinely work together, share knowledge openly, and are always willing to help each other succeed. This creates a positive and inclusive environment where everyone feels valued.

Review from Operations Dept

Friendly, supportive and balanced work

Review from Operations Dept

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Environment Reviews

Employ more humans with higher academic achievements.

Review from IT Dept

The current situation is very acceptable

Review from Product Dept

Better, more open communication with leadership. Streamline the work

Review from Customer Support Dept

Job uncertainty, lack of growth opportunities for selected individuals

Review from Operations Dept

Leaders should consistently embody the values they promote: transparency, empathy, accountability, and inclusivity. A culture of appreciation boosts morale and engagement. Reduce ambiguity. Ensure goals, expectations, and decisions are communicated clearly and consistently across all levels

Review from Executive Dept

What did you like most about the interview process?

Interviews Reviews

HR behaves oddly. Some people continuously apply for 5-6 years to get selected. Is this done on purpose to maintain the premiumness - not sure. Rejection reasons are not communicated. All HR work is outsourced, the third party needs more training and fixing

Review from Product Dept

The interviewers were very friendly and open and I did nit need to wait for their decision long

Review from Sales Dept

To be honest, it was many years ago, so I'm not sure how relevant it would be now.

Review from Communications Dept

HR is good about scheduling and logistics

Review from Marketing Dept

10 years ago, simplicity, sincerity of exchanges

Review from Product Dept

What makes you most happy at work?

Outlook Reviews

Feeling safe and valued, being able to do what I do best everyday

Review from HR Dept

What makes me most happy at work is the ability to contribute to meaningful outcomes. Knowing that my work adds value and helps others succeed gives me a strong sense of purpose.

Review from Operations Dept

supportive environment and ability to contribute to science

Review from Operations Dept

Delivering services that matter to our colleagues and customers

Review from IT Dept

Making a difference to my colleagues - who are my customers

Review from Operations Dept

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Outlook Reviews

Things are always great and perfect on leadership level. But further down below things go wrong which is naturally. The leadership level feels detached from the rest. They appear to me as gods who never fail which is inhuman.

Review from IT Dept

Less autonomy in the BAU work done

Review from Operations Dept

Nothing, i think people are over worked, and underpaid for the amount of tasks they are being given to do. Increased workload, and smaller budgets are an issue, and there are better roles elsewhere.

Review from Operations Dept

Lack of trust and lack of security

Review from Product Dept

Again, communication with my manager, better compensation and streamlined work processes
