AECOM Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Of course. I negotiated it and accepted it as my terms of employment. Everything is grewt about it. If it werent. I wouldnt have signed on

good packages and bonus program

Review from Operations Dept

Good money Decent leave Good parental leave

percentage of basic salary is fair

Review from Engineering Dept

the percentage of basic salary is better than most of competitors

very good allowance and basic salary

Some benefits can still be improved. But I think the best part would be the HMO package.

retirement account that offers many choices

Strong healthcare benefits, ESPP program, and typical 401k matching. Could benefit from a gift matching program.

Review from Engineering Dept

I have flexible work arrangements

Employee stock purchase plan discount.

Th salary and the medical insurance.

PTO days are a bit higher than industry standards

401k only matched once a year. If you leave before the year ends, you don't receive it.

Vacation and flexible work hours.

Review from Design Dept

Very competitive pay in relation to the market. Would certainly characterize the company for proactively offering equitable pay to its employees.

Review from HR Dept

Fair market value and competitive rates

Review from Business Development Dept

Pay and flex work/ flexible schedule

Review from Operations Dept

No one part really shines.

Review from Operations Dept

13 months Salary. and reimbursement of professional fee. also life and medical insurance.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

I have just informed them I will need a minimum 5% off-cycle increase in order to continue my career at AECOM. At this point I am just counting the days until I either retire or quit.

I feel undervalued because I was placed on an unjustified performance improvement plan by my unqualified bosses.

Pay increase, due recognition or just fair working conditions

I understand that new graduates might have a reduced rate coming into the workforce for the first time. But, if I am meeting expectations then I expect to be paid the average at least. However, AECOM is slow and unwilling to meet my needs and expectations in compensation.

Review from Engineering Dept

men in my same postion paid 2x as much

Working above my pay grade

Limited raises unless promoted. Lack of staff means people are not promoted since there is no one to replace them

I would like a year end bonus

completely different management is needed

If they gave raises instead of paying shareholders

I am 130% billable most weeks but if I drop to 80% one week they make you feel like you are going to get fired. Absolutely a trash place to work.

No benifits gained from extra assignments and job change not becomes offecially, no bonuses or appraisal reflection annually.

Review from Business Development Dept

Appropriate wages, life / work balance. Respectful work place.

Review from Operations Dept

The culture at AECOM is very bad, you can easily fall into a role where you're a cog in the wheel.

A real bonus program, better 401k matching, better stock incentive plan.

Review from Engineering Dept

I was told by Troy Thurgood if I quit my government vernal city job and came back to hill Air Force base he would bring me back to my intiatorory start date November 2002 which never happened since when would I be willing to give up 15 hours leave per month at vernal city and come back to hill Air

Review from Operations Dept

I was promised a negotiated rate increase when I submitted my resignation when getting a great offer at another company. For three months I have not see. The rate increase that was promised. Totally lied to and they made me miss a great opportunity.

Review from Engineering Dept

I am lowest paid in my position despite having seniority. They need to increase pay, increase time off, pay for overtime, and treat people like humans

Review from Marketing Dept

Within the industry, I'm appropriately paid. This industry underpays quality staff.

Review from Engineering Dept

The pay and benefits were not the problem. The problem was AEcom's ability to pay the wages and benefits with out the employee having to call the Federal Board of labor because AEcom was short changing them at every level.
