Review from Sales Dept
Paid vacation and sick time are nice. The quality of the health insurance has taken a dive. While paid better than industry averages, aldi expects more out of its store level employees than most other grocery retailers. With that in mind, I'm not sure the pay is commensurate.
everything is great, insurance and all
Good health insurance and HSA contribution
Company car, high salary, good health insurance
Health insurance is very good
Everyone still cares about the work they do, but morale is starting to wane.
they are personable and some of the nicest and funniest people i have ever met
People do not complain. They just dig in and get the work done.
honest, punctual, fun to work with and responsible
good fun people. we all understand and try to uplift each other from this companies impossible requests
It's really a mixed bag. There isn't a whole lot of good that outweighs the bad. It's been like this for close to a year.
my coworkers, my managers, and how we actually value eachother
the group I work for is great.
Very negative right now. Seasonal outings don't help.
it can be positive but if one person falls behind everyone does
Mine was relatively fast but I have heard horror stories of people going through four and five interviews only not to be hired.
it felt personal, not as intimidating as other interviews
The interview process was ok, but a bit overwhelming with multiple interviews in one day, plus they made me do a physical test. All in one day
The friendliness intially and flexibility
Jesse the district manager at the time took time to answer all the questions that I had and explain the job detail to me in full and ensure that it will be something that I feel comfortable and confident with doing if offered the position he offered and I accepted that was December 2022
Having the tools and time that I need to do a job well done.
meeting new people, customers, and my coworkers
friendly employees. consumer benefit for value
Bonding with customers, my coworkers, and of course not being scheduled to work. They're far from perfect, but I respect them. They work hard and do their best everyday. Even if Aldi doesn't respect or value me as a person, many of the people in my store do. That has to count for something.
I am lucky to have a very approachable and kind store manager who is willing to listen to all of my complaints and concerns, and who actually shows a level of care about me as a person rather than just another worker.
