American Eagle Outfitters Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Generous PTO, summer fridays and extra days off

Im just starting to explore it though i do wish medical was available to both full and part-time employees

I absolutely love the discount and the monthly coupons we get!!

Bonus structure and medical insurance

The discount at the store

My rate of pay. Medical benefits are okay nothing to write home about.

Discounts on merchandise for employees

Money, experience, and fun, I love it

Paid time off is generous.

All of it is the best part on my opinion

I miss the contests for over performing. As a manager in a top tier store I enjoyed the incentives for achieving goals but find the recent lack thereof disheartening because we are being asked to achieve more than ever with less and less incentives, teenagers need that extra motivation .

Review from Sales Dept

The best part is that I shop from Aerie, AE a lot. So, since I work there, the benefits makes it easier for me to buy things since I have a workers discount.

Review from Marketing Dept

my benefits and working with friends

Review from Marketing Dept

I am part time and do not receive benefits

It is clear and provides what I need

Review from Sales Dept

Compensation is fairly given and able to be discussed openly

Review from Sales Dept

I work part time, so no benefits other than discount.

Fair compensation, many opportunities to earn bonuses.

Review from Sales Dept

The pay per hour is fair with the job expectations

Review from Sales Dept

The employee discount on merchandise

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Yes, better management would help.

I just want a livable wage something where I can support me and my kids without having to get another job or kill myself on overtime if they are providing it which doesn't happen often enough.

Yes I felt extremely undervalued

I do much more than what my job originally required. I go out of my way to go above and beyond whenever i work and even when im not scheduled to work

Our insurance plan options get narrower and more expensive every year.

I been with my store for almost 2 years and my raise would only be a couple of cents. I currently make $7.75

Pay your employees and staff teams. It’s that simple. You have the money. Use it to support your peopl

The benefits are costly for a plan with a high deductible. The pay rate compared to other compatible companies is considerably lower.

the store manager and assistant managers afe very rude and inconsiderate when it comes to others health. they have both came to work while sick. one with no taste and covid symptoms but refused to get tested. and the other claimed she thought ahe had covid and had been sick for over a week as well

if healthcode guidelines were followed and enforced. for open communication rather than passive aggressive power plays

Undervalued and not appreciated. Workload is super heavy and is all put on the management team which is a lot. Unreasonable expectations surrounding the visual presentation and standards of the store every day and every night.

everyone gets treated differently and it's toxic

I have a specialized degree and a full time corporate job and I can't afford groceries every week. I want to make enough to have an apartment on my own with heat and right now I don't make that much.

Better pay, benefits and set schedule.

Higher compensation to balance out the extreme work requirements

Review from Sales Dept

I believe more in depth training and teaching would make the experience better

Review from Sales Dept

Better pay would be better

Higher pay is always something people will ask for. I am fairly compensated but would like a better bonus program

The company does not pay their employees enough. For the pay they need to expect a lot less.

The state minimum wage is 7.25 but that's impossible to live on. Salary just be more realistic especially with all the money the company makes. Associates also need to feel heard, seen, and valued by management starting from SLT up.
