Executive Bio
Mr. Jonathan Ive, also known as Jony, has been Chief Design Officer at Apple Inc. since July 1, 2015. Mr. Ive served as Senior Vice President of Design at Apple Inc. (alternatively Apple Computer Inc). Mr. Ive has been responsible for leading a design team of Apple Computer since 1996. As the driving force behind the look and feel of Apple's innovative products, he also provides leadership and direction for Human Interface (HI) software teams across the company. In 2003, he was named Designer of the Year by the Design Museum London and awarded the title Royal Designer for Industry by The Royal Society of Arts. Mr. Ive holds a Bachelor of Arts and an Honorary Doctorate from Newcastle Polytechnic.
