Very highly respect work life balance

ASCAP has long been the good ol boys club. Efforts were made to change this but the VP of licensing is the main problem and his boss isn't involved at all. Lots of favoritism of young white males on mid-level promotions. Sexual harassers get promoted not fired (VPs). Whistle-blowers get blacklisted.

  • I would invest in more technology. We're doing pretty well but to be competitive we need to increase the amount of automation we have for customers to secure licenses which will ultimately lead to more revenue for songwriters.

  • Awesome! After your first fiscal year with ASCAP, you receive 20 days upfront for PTO. It's not itemized into sick or vacation days. Each year that you're with ASCAP, you gain another PTO day. Your first year you are in accrual mode, which accrues 2.25 days/month.

  • The relaxed corporate culture and managing myself. While you have a manager, director, etc, it's very much about the work you put in yourself. You're empowered to make the best decision possible but your manager is there for questions, always. (Speaking for the licensing side of ASCAP)
