I feel that I was duped when signing on to work for Ascension. The entire reason I was hired has now fell to the wayside and there doesn't seem to be a clear mission or goal. It is unfortunate to see a company this big and formerly reputable disappoint so much.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I am struggling to answer this due to the hypocritical nature of the organization.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Ascension pays very well compared to other organizations. While the pay is good, there is a lot of baggage that comes along with that.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
There needs to be more transparency and genuine concern for employees. To be a faith based organization, they lack many attributes associated with authentic leadership.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
My coworkers have an antiquated view on healthcare and informatics. I feel that the lack of continuous training and opportunities for growth have left them at a disadvantage.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
I think the company needs to find their true mission and stick to it. Too often they start out with big goals/dreams and it goes to smoke due to lack of courage to carry them out.
