I joined Ascension a few years ago and have witnessed a continue evolution of our organization. We pivot to address the healthcare climate and continue making decisions based on future goals. Our leadership in handling the concerns of the pandemic solidified to me that I am where I want to be.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
The healthcare benefits give me confidence that if my family needs healthcare, we are able to afford it.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I enjoy the collaboration. I have worked constructively with many different leaders to find a pragmatic process or solutions. At former employers, it would have been derailed by conflict and blame.
What makes you most happy at work?
The team works hard yet knows how to strike a balance. We have a good sense of humor and it gets us through the longer days. There is a genuine concern for one another's success and well-being.
What are some of the best things about your team?
The team is very generous with each other. They do not hesitate to cover for someone on vacation or train someone needing help. They are balanced and approach business issues with collaboration and not looking for a scapegoat.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
While trying to navigate the changing climate of healthcare, our leadership team has not lost sight of why we are here. They recognize we have inherited a mission to serve our community and that they are accountable for ensuring it prospers and lives on.
