Out of 96 Avaya employee reviews, 57% were positive. The remaining 43% were constructive reviews with the goal of helping Avaya improve their work culture.
It's incredible how engineers and first level leaders have been able to roll with the challenges, losses and changes and still keep our core base relatively satisfied.
We are getting a lot of new leaders with a desire to improve the company and culture.
Leading the team with talented peers
no words to describe. They are the best and get involved in the work when there is an issue rather just commanding to get it done.
My leadership team for the most part knows what they are doing and usually support those below them when those below them are doing a great job and supporting the mission.
They need to get better at creating operational change that benefits employees and customers vs. just wanting to report up and make themselves look good.
Faster decisions and decisions that stick.
They need to be gone. They fail at every turn. They develop I'll conceived strategies, and when those prove to be unsuccessful, they blame people who have no authority and then eliminate jobs to improve EPS. It's time to end the ridiculous good ol boy game of circular nothingness
This is a toxic company
Treating employees as human beings
Volunteer Days off of work. Employee Appreciation Day.
Health benefits and 401k match
Other than a solid salary the matching 401k and ESPP plan are exceptional and well worth the money it takes to be in it.
company car is part of the package
Night shift allowances and transport
Many employees have not had a raise for years. Many employees lost a great deal of money in Stock Options that was supposed to be a benefit. Heathcare premiums and out of pocket expenses are ridiculous now. Overall, we all make less than we did 10 years ago with inflation.
The company is not transparent about results, they do not set achievable goals for bonus/commission structures, etc.
There are no protections for employees. NO ETHICS Process. Insane imbalance.
If ALL employees had a better work/life balance. There are no ethics in ths company
No pay increase after 3 years, despite exceeding all goals.
The support of each other on a daily basis.
Always I played good role as I had my position to my team mates and co-worker.
Best people I ever worked with.
Teamwork with many hands and one mind makes anything achievable/possible
Supporting and encouraging, they also train you
Coworker are good , little more troubleshooting training
Two extremes, cultivated by Avayas perpetual dysfunction. Those that play the game to survive, which means they contribute very little. And those who actually fight to do what is best to grow the business, who get run out because they make noise. Thus, Avaya never gets anywhere
There are too many meetings
Focus on the job more than the negative environment
The people I work with directly in Avaya.
It's a job and pays a salary
At least in my part of Avaya upper management trust us to get the job done.
a lot of diversity with people and cultures
The best environment and work culture
Support distributed teams and work life balance.
Empowerment and cultural change comes from respecting and leading from the bottom up not demanding and directing from top down only.
I need to change my Manager. And again I want to become a part of this organization.
There needs to be more transparency. Put an ethical HR department in place where employees can safely voice concerns and those cincernscare taken seriously and acted upon
Proper investment in company resources and tools to do our jobs effectively.
It always feels like a conversation, not an interrogation.
I started out as a contractor and so the interview process at Avaya was based on my first two years as a contractor prior to being rebadged as an employee.
the live presentations and the mathematical tests
It was overly intimidating and you didnt realize at that time that the company is so unethical
It pretends to be a professional company.. normally jobs are filled before advertised
Collaborating with my team and finding innovative solutions to complex problems.
Teaming and coworkers. Every day I'm shocked and what they have accomplished with so little autonomy and so many challenges. I've seen pure burnout and then renewed second wind over and over again.
My dedication to my company.
Seeing the positive changes we are accomplishing. This a mix of with our customers, employees and volunteering.
Solving for complex problems makes me happy at work.
Lack of direction and continuity
No innovation. No vision. Just game playing to falsely spin toward Cloud (that is not ready for market).
Employees need to be treated fairly
Get rid of senior management, driven by USA and boys for jobs. Make it a culture where you are promoted for your skills not who your mates are
A clear path forward with clear goals.
