What did you like most about the interview process?
It was relaxed and more of a conversation. It also set up the relationship for myself and my current assistant manager.
What are some of the best things about your team?
They are valuable in that they come to work looking forward to seeing their customers. We have a great community and we love our crowd.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
We should be making at least 12 an hour, or for those of us that know the entire location (bookfloor, receiving, cafe, checkout, customer service) we should be paid accordingly.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
We foster a learning environment and are constantly on the lookout for our customers, whether it’s recommending a book or talking to a new parent. Their translates into our personal lives in management where we know and can trust the managers to be there
