Lena has 25 years of experience building and managing software products, platforms, and teams. She is passionate about providing a stable, excellent, and safe user experience. At Meetup, Lena was the VP of Platform Engineering and Enterprise Technology, responsible for stabilizing and securing Meetup's legacy systems while creating a new platform to iterate on and bring Meetup to the next level. She spent 12 years at Vitech, serving in a chief architect role developing customizable products for Public Pension Funds, Alternative Asset Management (PE, Hedge), and the Insurance industry. Before that, Lena worked as a consultant with the New York Board of Education, developing its performance-based budget system and with AT&T creating a variety of systems. Lena Studied and graduated programs related to Digital Electronics and Microprocessor Architecture. Lena lives in New York State with her dogs, loves road trips in her Airstream, hiking, and camping.
